As a Luxury Handbag Specialist at Labellov, you will work hands-on with some of the world’s most iconic handbags - from Hermès and Chanel to Delvaux and other leading luxury houses.
You may already have experience in luxury authentication, resale, fashion, auctions or buying. Or you may have developed a strong eye for luxury handbags and want to turn that knowledge and passion into real expertise.
What matters most is your eye for detail, curiosity, commercial instinct and drive to learn.
At Labellov, you will develop your expertise across authentication, condition assessment, pricing and the luxury resale market, while gradually becoming a trusted specialist for both our team and our clients.
What you’ll do
Examine handbags in detail and assess their authenticity, construction, materials, hardware, stitching, markings, serial numbers, date codes and other brand-specific characteristics. Develop an increasingly deep understanding of both contemporary and vintage pieces.
Condition & quality assessment
Carefully evaluate the condition of every piece, identify alterations or repairs, and ensure that our product descriptions accurately reflect the item being sold.
Pricing & market knowledge
Research and determine appropriate resale prices based on model, condition, rarity, desirability and current market demand. Over time, develop a strong understanding of price movements and resale dynamics across key luxury brands.
Continuous learning
Build deep expertise in priority brands and categories, particularly Hermès, Chanel and Delvaux. Stay curious, research unfamiliar pieces and continuously strengthen your authentication and product knowledge.
Sourcing & private clients
As your expertise develops, advise clients who want to sell exceptional pieces to Labellov. Help identify interesting collections and build trusted relationships with private sellers, collectors and repeat clients.
Work closely with our retail, e-commerce, marketing and buying teams to ensure each piece is positioned, presented and sold in the best possible way.
Events & representation
As your expertise grows, represent Labellov at client appointments, events and activations such as our Amsterdam pop-ups and BRAFA.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. We are looking for someone who has the potential and ambition to become exceptional at this craft.
You are:
- Passionate and genuinely curious about luxury handbags, craftsmanship and the resale market
- Highly observant, analytical and detail-oriented - you enjoy understanding why something is authentic, unusual or valuable
- Methodical and comfortable making careful, evidence-based assessments
- Familiar with luxury fashion through professional experience, education or a serious personal interest
- Interested in developing deep knowledge of brands such as Hermès, Chanel and Delvaux
- Commercially minded and interested in understanding what makes a piece desirable and valuable on the secondary market
- Comfortable working independently while sharing knowledge and learning from others
- Confident and personable with clients
- Eager to learn continuously and build a long-term career in luxury resale
Previous experience in luxury resale, authentication, fashion, auctions, vintage, buying, quality control, leather goods or luxury retail is a strong advantage, but we are equally interested in candidates with exceptional product curiosity and the ability to develop quickly.
Languages
Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required, as you will work with clients and partners across Belgium and internationally.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Antwerp, five days per week.
As the role develops, there may be the opportunity to work one day per week from our Brussels or Latem location.
Why Labellov?
This is not simply a role where you process handbags. It is an opportunity to build a real specialism.
You will handle iconic, rare and highly desirable pieces on a daily basis, develop an expert eye for authenticity and value, and gain first-hand insight into how the European luxury resale market works.
As your expertise grows, so will your responsibilities - from authentication and pricing to sourcing, private clients and representing Labellov externally.
For someone who wants to become a recognised specialist in luxury handbags and build a career in the circular luxury industry, this is an opportunity to learn by working with the real thing, every day.
