We are partnering with a fast-growing, international professional services organisation to appoint an experienced Accounting Manager. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic finance function, offering the opportunity to drive process improvements, lead a high-performing team, and support the continued growth of the business.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee core finance operations and play a central role in strengthening controls, improving efficiencies, and supporting ongoing acquisitions and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Financial Control
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across a complex multi-entity environment.
- Ensure the accurate preparation of statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and indirect tax compliance.
- Support the integrity and quality of consolidated financial reporting. Accounts Payable
- Manage the end-to-end supplier payment process.
- Ensure strong financial controls and governance across payables activities.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation to improve efficiency and scalability. Credit Control & Cash Management
- Oversee credit control activities and monitor customer receivables.
- Support effective cash flow management and credit risk mitigation.
- Drive continuous improvement across collections processes and working capital management. Leadership & Transformation
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals across accounting, payables, and credit control.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the finance function.
- Drive standardisation, process improvement, and the professionalisation of finance operations.
- Act as a key escalation point for operational and team-related matters. Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Ideally 10+ years of experience within Accounting, Audit, Financial Control, or Finance Management.
- Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, and acquisitive environment.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with financial consolidation and ERP systems is advantageous. What's on Offer?
