Business Control and Operations Specialist

To support their continued growth, they are currently looking for a Business Support & Operations Specialist to join their team in Brussels. To support their continued growth, they are currently looking for a Business Support & Operations Specialist to join their team in Brussels. Own and oversee critical operational processes and control frameworks Act as the escalation point for complex operational cases and policy-related decisions Ensure compliance with internal procedures, AML/KYC, GDPR and regulatory requirements Manage sensitive customer and account-related operations Prepare and analyse KPI, SLA and regulatory reporting Drive process improvement initiatives and operational excellence Participate in audits, investigations and risk mitigation activities Support the implementation of new products, systems and operational changes Develop procedures and provide training to operational teams Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent through experience Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience within banking, financial services, insurance, or another highly regulated environment Solid understanding of retail banking operations and customer lifecycle processes Experience in AML/KYC, compliance, operational risk management, or process governance Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail Experience with reporting, performance monitoring, and data analysis Knowledge of CRM systems, workflow tools, and financial services operations Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach Ability to manage complex cases while balancing regulatory requirements and customer experience Fluency in Dutch or French with professional proficiency in Dutch or French and English Permanent position within a growing and innovative financial institution Competitive salary package complemented by a broad range of fringe benefits High-impact role with significant autonomy and responsibility Opportunity to contribute directly to operational excellence and strategic initiatives Exposure to a wide range of stakeholders across the business Dynamic and collaborative working environment Professional development opportunities and long-term career prospects A culture that values ownership, continuous improvement, a...
