Impact Investment Analyst Intern

Newtree Impact is a Brussels-based investment firm committed to combating climate change by backing disruptive agri-food tech companies. We invest in startups reshaping the future of food systems towards sustainability and regeneration.

We are looking for a passionate Impact Investment Analyst Intern to join our team for 3 to 6 months full-time. If you are eager to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, venture capital, and impact investing, and want to contribute to a mission-driven company transforming the agri-food sector, this role is for you.

You will work closely with our analysts and CEO, participating in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting innovative startups through all stages of the venture capital process.

Responsibilities

You will actively contribute across the full investment cycle, including market research, opportunity analysis, and due diligence. Your role will involve evaluating new growth initiatives, conducting detailed company and competitive analyses, and building financial models to support investment decisions. You will assist in preparing investment memos, financial reports, and investor presentations, while closely monitoring portfolio companies and supporting their strategic development. Additionally, you will help manage fund operations and contribute to strategic projects such as partnership development and investor communications, gaining broad exposure to the day-to-day workings of an impact-driven venture fund focused on agri-food technology.

Qualifications

• Financial Acumen: Demonstrated financial expertise (market analysis, financial analysis, business valuation)
• Great interpersonal skills: capable of interacting with high-level stakeholders.
• Multitasking: Efficiently handle multiple tasks
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate, share insights, and contribute to team discussions is crucial
• Multilingualism: Fluent in English (and French or Dutch)
• Education: Master's degree or in the process of completing a master's degree (University or similar)
