Freelance Maintenance Supervisor – Food IndustryFreelance maintenance supervisor sought for an upcoming project with a Food production company south of Brussels.

Role: Freelance Maintenance SupervisorLocation: South of Brussels (on site working)Languages: French and English (Ideally also Dutch)Start: Expected early September, subject to project approvalDuration: 12 months with likely extension up to 3 yearsContract: Freelance contract via Amoria BondThe company will go through a transformation of its maintenance organization, with internal colleagues moving into project-focused roles. This creates a need for an experienced interim Maintenance Supervisor to ensure continuity of day-to-day maintenance operations.
The project is expected to start in early September, subject to final approval, with an expected duration of 2–3 years.
ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and follow-up of maintenance activitiesLead and coordinate a team of maintenance operatorsPlan, prioritize and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance actionsEnsure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently and according to scheduleAct as the key point of contact between maintenance, production and other operational teamsFollow up on maintenance issues and ensure timely resolutionCoordinate external maintenance contractors where requiredMonitor the quality and progress of maintenance workSupport the team with a hands-on approach when neededIdentify recurring maintenance issues and support practical improvements to equipment reliabilityEnsure clear communication and reporting on maintenance activitiesProfileProven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Coordinator in an industrial production environmentStrong background in day-to-day maintenance operations, rather than engineering or project managementExperience leading or coordinating maintenance technicians/operatorsHands-on mentality and willingness to get involved operationally when requiredStrong organizational and communication skillsAble to work effectively with Production, Maintenance and other operational stakeholdersExperience in the food industry is a strong advantageFluent in French and English, Dutch is a plusAvailable for a long-term freelance assignment of approximately 1–2 yearsInterested and available per mid/end of September?
