Azure Data Engineer

pWe are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to develop and improve a data platform following the migration of non-SAP data to Azure. The team is building use cases for reporting, analytics and data science, while strengthening governance and self-service access with Databricks Unity Catalog. The work also focuses on platform performance, reliability and efficient resource use. /p h3Your role /h3 ul liDesign and develop data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and other Azure services. /li liImplement Data Lake, Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures and industrialise new business use cases. /li liHelp manage Unity Catalog, including catalogues, schemas, permissions, data sharing and governance. /li liSupport the development of self-service data capabilities. /li liMonitor and optimise platform performance, consumption and costs. /li liAutomate data ingestion, transformation and deployment. /li liWork with data analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders. /li liDocument data flows, architecture and practices, and improve the platform continuously. /li /ul h3You have /h3 ul liExpertise in Azure data architecture. /li liExpertise in Azure Data Factory. /li liExpertise in Databricks. /li liExpertise in Databricks Unity Catalog. /li liAdvanced skills in Power BI. /li liExpertise in Python. /li liExpertise in Spark. /li liExpertise in SQL. /li liEnglish at C1 level. /li liDutch or French at C2 level. /li /ul h3A plus /h3 ul liAt least seven years of experience as a Data Engineer, including work in the past year. /li liA degree in computer science, data engineering or a related field. /li liExperience with Azure Storage. /li liExperience with Azure SQL. /li liExperience with Azure Key Vault. /li liExperience with Azure DevOps. /li liKnowledge of Azure Databricks architecture, including Lakehouse design, scalability and security. /li liExperience with PySpark. /li liExperience with Delta Lake. /li liExperience monitoring Azure and Databricks. /li liExperience tuning Azure and Databricks performance. /li liExperience optimising Azure and Databricks costs. /li liKnowledge of CI/CD principles applied to data engineering. /li liKnowledge of REST API integration patterns. /liliKnowledge of AMQP integration patterns. /li liAn analytical mindset. /li liAn autonomous approach to work. /li liProblem-solving skills. /li liA collaborative approach. /li liStrong communication skills. /li liThe ability to explain technical concepts clearly. /li liA Microsoft Azure certification or a Databricks certification. /li liExperience administering Power BI. /li liExperience with Power BI governance. /li liExperience with real-time data streaming. /li liExperience with Terraform or infrastructure as code. /li liFamiliarity with Azure Monitor. /li liFamiliarity with Log Analytics. /li liBasic knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP BW/4HANA as a data source. /li liExperience working in an Agile environment. /li liExperience working in a Scrum environment. /li /ul h3Working at Neurho /h3 pFounded in 1998, Neurho is a Belgian IT and business consultancy.
