Blair West are supporting a fast-growing, private equity-backed software business, to find a Head of Transactional Finance. The business provides a cloud-native, AI-powered platform to consumer packaged goods companies and is transitioning its finance function from an in-house, manual operation into a modern, outsourced and scalable model, with a new ERP implementation also underway.

The opportunity:

  • Act as the sole Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between the business and its external shared service centre/outsourcer, translating internal requirements into clear operational instructions
  • Monitor service quality, timeliness and SLA/KPI compliance, managing escalations and driving corrective actions
  • Review and validate all accounting outputs, including journal entries, reconciliations and reports, before internal or external use
  • Lead periodic governance meetings and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close with the outsourcer
  • Oversee General Ledger activity performed by the outsourcer, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, ageing and collections, acting as the bridge between the outsourcer and Sales Operations
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, including invoice approval workflow, three-way matching and vendor reconciliations
  • Maintain day-to-day banking relationships, cash positioning, liquidity monitoring and cash flow forecasting
  • Support periodic tax returns, statutory reporting and Transfer Pricing compliance in coordination with local advisors
  • Prepare and coordinate audit documentation, acting as first line of quality control over outsourcer outputs
  • Play a key role in the upcoming ERP implementation, contributing accounting expertise to system design, testing and go-live
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline finance processes through automation and AI-enabled tools

You'll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:

  • Solid knowledge of general accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and treasury processes
  • Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS, with a good understanding of tax compliance and transfer pricing
  • Experience managing shared service centers or accounting outsourcers, with SLA/KPI governance experience a strong plus
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics/Navision or equivalent) and advanced Excel;

  • Genuine interest in digital transformation, process automation and AI-powered finance tools
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, confident directing an external provider and collaborating with Controlling, Sales, Procurement, auditors and local advisors
  • A clear communicator who is analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • A proactive, xirbnpk ownership-driven mindset with a continuous improvement attitude
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent;
    a professional accounting qualification is preferred
  • Excellent English for group, outsourcer and international audit interactions;
    additional languages are an advantage
