Accountant Specialist – Netsuite

An international financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to strengthen its Brussels-based finance team. This permanent position has been created in response to increased workload and will take ownership of the accounting operations for a strategically important holding company. .

The Accounting Specialist will manage the entity’s accounting activities from end to end, including complex general ledger postings, treasury support, payment activities and reporting. They will prepare entries under Belgian GAAP and IFRS, contribute to group consolidation reporting and support transactions including capital increases, debt issuances, restructurings, currency impacts and M&A-related activity.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on accountant rather than a controller or systems specialist. Key requirements include:

• Approximately seven years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and, ideally, Belgian GAAP expertise.
• Fluency in French or Dutch, together with strong professional English.
• Experience accounting for complex financial or corporate transactions.
• Exposure to treasury, payments and group reporting.
• Oracle NetSuite user experience is advantageous, but technical configuration knowledge is not required.
• Financial services or insurance experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience with expense and payment tools such as Raidu, Isabel and Connexis would be beneficial.
