Since 1972 GC Europe NV, our European Headquarter is located at the Researchpark Haasrode in Leuven (Belgium). GC Europe NV supports and leads our different sales offices and dealers. Our warehouse spreads our products to Europe and the Middle East. Next to this we manufacture various products for dental technicians and dentists. We are currently looking for a:Scientific Affairs Specialist EMEAPurpose of the job?Under the direction of the Marketing Director and functionally reporting to the EMEA Professional Services Manager, the Scientific Affairs Specialist is responsible for creating & fostering the development of scientific information about GC products which support the development of sales across the region and the justification of product claims from marketing & regulatory point of view. This is also done in cooperation with the internal (marketing, regulatory, R&D) and external academics, researchers) stakeholders.
General

Requirements:
The Scientific Affairs Specialist must work in a team environment while managing multiple projects. Scientific/Academic background in the area of health care or more specifically in the area of dental materials is required. Ability to establish solid relationships with external academics is also important. Cross-cultural communication and ability to travel is a must.
Educational Background:Master’s degree or higher in Dentistry, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field. A PhD or DDS/DMD is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of the dental fieldExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both Dentists and Dental TechniciansProficient in data analysis, literature review, and interpretation of clinical evidence.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English. German and Dutch is a plus Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time across the EMEA region. Main responsibilitiesResearch & evidence Initiate, coordinate, and follow up on scientific and clinical studies supporting GC’s product portfolioSupport regulatory compliance by developing evidence that are needed for CE registration of productCollaborate with R&D teams and GC International to design and execute studies demonstrating product efficacy and safety. Networking activities Coordinate GC’s participation in scientific congresses, including symposia, posters, evidence dissemination, and scientific messagingDevelop strong relationships with external academics in EMEA in order to foster the ability to conduct research.
Engage with dental societies and scientific organizations to advance the company’s scientific reputation. Training and education Align with Business Unit managers to develop information and studies in line with the company’s marketing strategiesStay up-to-date on scientific trends and innovations in the dental industry. Monitor publications in main product segments and identify new market trendsSupport the sales team and the whole organisation with training and answers to scientific oriented matters linked to GC activitiesDevelop and deliver educational scientific materials to internal teams (sales, marketing, regulatory) and external stakeholders.
Provide scientific training to dental professionals and ensure the effective communication of clinical evidence supporting product use.
