Asenium is looking for a Senior Security Consultant to strengthen a security team in a financial services environment. You will oversee security in business projects, challenge implemented controls, and coordinate NIST evidence and maturity reporting.
Assignment: ASAP–31 December 2026.
Work setup: Hybrid – Brussels, Belgium. 50% on-site / 50% homeworking.
Responsibilities:
Ensure security requirements are integrated early into business initiatives and projects.
Complete and review application security assessments with delivery teams.
Assess change compliance and support the CISO’s GO/NO-GO release decisions.
Coordinate with subject matter experts to collect evidence for NIST controls.
Submit NIST control evidence to the central security team.
Negotiate evidence acceptance criteria with the central team.
Report progress on NIST controls and elevate issues to IT management.
Must-have requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of IT production or networks in technical and/or functional roles.
Previous software development experience and a good understanding of SDLC activities.
Knowledge of network security fundamentals.
Good understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
Foundational knowledge of IT risk assessment and management.
ISO 27001 certification or equivalent.
Master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with experience.
Ability to work autonomously, collaborate across teams, and challenge security measures.
Fluent French
or
Dutch, and a good command of English.
