The role supports business growth while ensuring legal compliance and managing risk in a fast-paced international environment. /p /br /brh3Key Responsibilities Include /h3 /br /brh3Commercial Legal Support /h3 /brul /brliDraft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements. /li /brliProvide practical legal guidance to commercial teams during contract negotiations. /li /brliDevelop and maintain standard contract templates and legal playbooks. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Corporate and Business Advisory /h3 /brul /brliAdvise management and business stakeholders on legal matters affecting operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. /li /brliSupport corporate governance activities and ensure compliance with applicable company policies. /li /brliParticipate in strategic business projects, acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, and transformation initiatives. /li /brliIdentify legal risks and propose commercially viable mitigation strategies. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Compliance and Risk Management /h3 /brul /brliPromote adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations. /li /brliProvide legal support on compliance matters. /li /brliDeliver legal training and awareness programs to business stakeholders /li /brliSupport investigations and internal compliance reviews when required. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management /h3 /brul /brliManage pre-litigation and litigation matters in collaboration with external counsel. /li /brliAdvise on disputes involving commercial contracts, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. /li /brliCoordinate legal strategies and oversee external legal spending. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Cross-Functional Collaboration /h3 /brul /brliPartner closely with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, HR, Sustainability, and Digital teams. /li /brliAct as a key legal contact for regional leadership. /li /brliCollaborate with the broader global legal network to ensure consistency and sharing of best practices. /li /br /ul /br /brh3A bout you /h3 /brul /brliMaster’s degree in law /li /brliFluency in English, French and Dutch /li /brliQualified lawyer in Belgium or another European jurisdiction preferred /li /brliMinimum 8-12 years of relevant legal experience. /li /brliExperience gained in a leading international law firm and/or multinational corporation. /li /brliStrong background in commercial contract law and business advisory. /li /brliExperience supporting manufacturing, food industry, FMCG, B2B, or industrial environments is highly desirable. /li /brliExperience working in a matrixed, international organization. /li /brliDeep expertise in commercial and contract law. /li /brliSound understanding of corporate and compliance matters. /li /brliStrong business acumen and ability to translate legal concepts into practical business solutions. /li /br /ul /br /brpAt Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity Inclusion.
