Every sugar beet field starts with the right seed in the right place at the right time. At United Beet Seeds, we’re looking for someone to make sure that happens.
Your mission
You will build and lead our company-wide demand planning process for sugar beet seed, with fodder beet and chicory as secondary crops. You will turn country sales forecasts into one consolidated demand plan. Then, week by week during the sales season, you will track how that plan becomes real market demand. Your work gives Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and management one shared view to make the right decisions, at the right moment.
What you will do
- Own the demand planning process from start to finish: calendar, governance, data standards and decision forums
- Collect, challenge and consolidate forecasts from our countries into one demand plan, with clear scenarios
- Manage weekly market demand during the season: orders, deliveries, sales and remaining demand
- Lead the demand review and lay the foundations of our future S&OP process
- Spot shortages, excess and ageing stock early, and support allocation decisions
- Track forecast accuracy and bias, find root causes and drive continuous improvement
- Lead and develop a small demand planning team and a network of contributors acrosscountries and functions
What you bring
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in demand planning, S&OP or supply chain planning, including leading a cross-functional process
- Experience in seeds, agriculture or seasonal products, with uncertain demand and constrained supply (strongly preferred)
- Strong skills in forecasting, scenario planning and inventory logic, plus advanced Excel, BI and ERP experience
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders through facts and constructive challenge
- Fluent English; Dutch and/or French are a plus
- A master’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, engineering, agronomy or economics
You will report to our Executive Director Sales and play a central role between commercial ambition and operational reality. It’s a role with real impact, in an international company that values humility, innovation, agility and resilience.
