Microbiology Expert – Small MoleculeAbout this roleJ&J Beerse is one of the world's leading centres for pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. Within the PDMS department (Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing Sciences), you play a key role in the quality and safety of Small Molecule drug products — from early development through to commercial production. You work in a global environment with direct impact on patient safety worldwide.

What you'll do
Lead R&D and Lifecycle Management projects related to microbiology for Small Molecule products.
Provide scientific input on the development, qualification, and validation of microbiological test methods.
Coordinate global method transfers and harmonisation activities across Janssen sites and external partners.
Review and approve development reports, validation reports, and microbiological test methods (sterility, bioburden, ATP bioluminescence, bacterial endotoxin, PET/AET, and more).
Manage and follow up on Change Controls within the microbiology domain.
Ensure full compliance with all GMP, regulatory, and J&J quality requirements.

Your profile
MSc or PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of microbiological test methods and GxP principles (FDA, EU, ICH).
Experience in an international, cross-functional project environment.
Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Professional and scientific English, spoken and written.
