As a Senior Non-Financial Risk Consultant, you will strengthen the bank's Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team during an important transformation phase. You will play a key role in redesigning the bank's non-financial risk framework, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities across the first and second lines of defense, while ensuring a robust and forward-looking risk management approach.
Working as part of a team of risk professionals, you will bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to enhance risk governance, challenge the business, and contribute to sustainable risk mitigation solutions.
Key responsibilities
Support the redesign and strengthening of the bank's Non-Financial Risk framework.
Review and redefine risk-related roles and responsibilities across the organization.
Help establish a clear operating model between the first and second lines of defense.
Act as a trusted second-line risk partner by providing challenge, oversight, and guidance to the business.
Develop and implement meaningful risk indicators (KRIs) to improve risk monitoring and support decision-making.
Contribute to risk assessments, risk mitigation initiatives, and continuous improvement of risk processes.
Provide an independent and objective perspective on risk governance and organizational challenges.
Support the definition of risk ownership and accountability within the organization.
Profile
Proven experience in Non-Financial Risk Management within the financial services or banking sector.
Strong expertise in building and implementing risk indicators (KRIs) and risk monitoring frameworks.
Solid understanding of governance models and the interaction between first and second lines of defense.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with a pragmatic approach.
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
Able to work independently and bring constructive challenge to senior stakeholders.
Fluent in Dutch and French, with a good command of English.
