5+ years of professional web development experience 3+ years of hands-on Shopify and Shopify Plus development Experience with Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, and GraphQL Experience building or extending custom Shopify apps Deep understanding of Shopify theme architecture (Online Store 2.0, Horizons) Familiarity with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn) Experience with Git and modern CI/CD workflows Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have
Experience with Shopify POS & React Native Experience with Headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Next.js, Remix) Shopify Plus experience (Checkout Extensibility, Scripts, Functions) Experience with React or similar frameworks Knowledge of eCommerce best practices (conversion, merchandising, SEO) Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) Shopify certifications Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain custom Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts & POS extensions Implement and/or integrate advanced checkout, cart, and subscription customizations Optimize storefront performance, accessibility, and SEO Implement integrations with third-party systems (ERP, OMS, CMS, PIM, payment providers, analytics, etc) Collaborate with UX/design to advise & implement pixel-perfect, responsive experiences Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term solutions
