As Accounting Manager, you will play a key role within the Finance function, with broad exposure to accounting operations, reporting, taxation and financial transformation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take ownership of a broad scope while leading and developing a team.
Your responsibilitiesLeading monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities in collaboration with the different Finance teamsOverseeing general and subledger accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany and bank accountingEnsuring accurate reconciliations, reliable documentation and consistent accounting practicesEnsuring compliance with Belgian GAAP, IFRS and applicable tax and regulatory requirementsCoordinating statutory reporting, external audits, VAT and corporate tax compliance activitiesSupporting treasury activities, including cash position monitoring and cash flow forecastingActing as the accounting key user for SAP S/4HANA and contributing to automation, digitalisation and process improvement projectWorking closely with Finance, Operations and internal and external stakeholdersLeading, coaching and developing the accounting team while promoting ownership and continuous improvementIdeal Profile
Experience:
You have 9 to 10+ years of experience in accounting, ideally gained in an industrial, FMCG, retail or international environment, with previous experience in team management or coordination.
Languages: You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
Qualifications:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field. You have strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, Belgian taxation and internal controls. Solid experience with SAP and Excel is expected.
