Aisb-1000 Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary Data & AI team and contribute to the development of advanced, scalable machine-learning solutions. You will work on large-scale data projects, developing anomaly detection, risk-scoring and classification models while collaborating closely with data engineers, architects, business analysts and domain experts. The role combines advanced Data Science, Machine Learning, Azure Databricks and technical leadership , with a strong focus on explainability, data quality, security and responsible AI. Your responsibilities Lead the design, development and industrialisation of Machine Learning solutions using Azure Databricks . Develop anomaly-detection, risk-scoring and classification models using supervised and unsupervised techniques. Translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions. Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, architects and domain experts. Contribute to data and ML pipelines, feature engineering and solution integration. Work with Python, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows . Define model evaluation approaches focusing on accuracy, explainability and operational value. Apply security, privacy, governance and responsible-AI principles. Provide technical leadership, establish best practices and coach other team members. Technical requirements Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or Advanced Analytics. Expert knowledge of Python and Machine Learning . Strong experience with SQL, Azure Databricks and PySpark . Good knowledge of anomaly detection, classification, clustering and risk modelling. Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows . Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD and MLOps practices. Experience with explainable AI, risk scoring and large-scale data processing. Experience in healthcare, insurance, fraud detection or the public sector is an asset.
