This is a remote position available in EMEA and the Americas. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead a team of remote engineers /liliDevelop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development /liliSet and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders /liliAdvocate and advance modern software development practices /liliParticipate in the engineering process through code and architectural review /liliEngage with teams at Canonical, the open source community and partners /liliWork from home with global travel for 4 to 6 weeks per year for internal and external events /li /ulh3What we are looking for /h3ulliYou love developing and growing people and have a strong track record of doing it /liliYou are focused on success and the delivery of timely, high quality software /liliYou have a Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree /liliYou have strong written and verbal technical communication skills /liliExpertise in modern C++ development /liliCross-platform development experience on macOS and/or Windows /liliKnowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and KVM /liliOpen source experience and involvement /li /ulh3What
