React Native Developer

pWe're looking for an experienced Senior React Native Developer to join our client's team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance mobile applications. You'll work across the full application lifecycle, from technical design and development to testing, optimisation, and release. This opportunity is particularly suited to a senior mobile specialist with experience in both public transport and e-commerce environments, who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. /p h3Role Responsibilities /h3 pYou’ll take ownership of delivering reliable cross‑platform mobile solutions for iOS and Android while contributing to technical direction and development standards. Your responsibilities will include: /p ul liDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native. /li liBuild reusable, scalable, maintainable, and well‑tested components for iOS and Android. /li liTranslate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions. /li liIntegrate RESTful APIs and third‑party services and collaborate with backend teams on API contracts and integration challenges. /li liImplement and maintain state management using technologies such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand. /li liOptimise application performance, responsiveness, memory consumption, and startup times. /li liTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across iOS and Android. /li liParticipate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards, best practices, and architectural decisions. /li liSupport application releases and deployments through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. /li liWork closely with product managers, business analysts, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders. /li liMentor less experienced developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. /li liParticipate in an Agile/Scrum development environment and contribute to continuous improvement. /li /ul h3Technical Profile /h3 pThe ideal candidate combines deep React Native expertise with broad software development experience and a strong understanding of mobile application architecture. You should have: /p ul li10+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands‑on expertise in React Native. /li liProven experience building scalable and high‑performance mobile applications. /li liAt least 3 years of experience working within the Belgian public transport domain. /li liAt least 3 years of experience developing and/or maintaining e‑commerce applications. /li liStrong understanding of mobile application architecture, API integration, performance optimisation, and end‑to‑end development. /li liExperience with state management solutions such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand. /li liAt least 5 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. /li liAt least 5 years of experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. /li liStrong experience with Git and modern software development practices. /li liExperience contributing to technical design, architecture, code reviews, and development standards. /li liA Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. /li liStrong problem‑solving skills, autonomy, and a proactive approach to development. /li liExcellent collaboration and communication skills. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 pYou communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written, at a minimum C1 level.
