Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional with strong expertise across the Record-to-Report (R2R) process, including month-end close, financial accounting, audit preparation, and process improvement activities. The organisation operates Oracle NetSuite as its core ERP and financial system, making prior hands-on NetSuite experience highly desirable. Candidates should possess a solid accounting background, ideally with 3-5 years' experience, and have a strong understanding of Belgian GAAP, with exposure to IFRS considered advantageous. This opportunity would suit a proactive finance professional who can support accurate financial reporting, drive operational efficiencies, and contribute to a robust control environment.
This is a permanent opportunity that will require 3 days per week onsite at their office in Brussels.
Your role:
- Financial Accounting according to Belgian GAAP / IFRS
- Accounting in NetSuite
- Delivering month end / Year end closing activities
- Preparation for Audit
- Liaising with internal and external accounting
- GL Accounting as well as supporting improvements such as data cleansing and process improvement, AP and AR areas
- Reviewing and validating bookkeeping entries and transactions
- Preparing financial statements / management reports and supporting controlling
Your experience:
- Senior Accountant with 5-7 years' experience
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, ideally Belgian GAAP and IFRS
- Prior Experience using Oracle NetSuite ERP
- Strong communication skills in English and ideally either French or Dutch/Flemish
Location: Brussels, hybrid working
