For the Rousselot Pilot Plant in Ghent – supporting and improving operational processes across several plants – we are looking for a Pilot Manager who will lead a small team of technicians and combine people and stakeholder management with strong process engineering expertise. As Pilot Manager, you will:
- Take overall responsibility for the Pilot Plant department, working closely with Operations to optimise production processes.
- Lead the day-to-day Pilot Plant operations, coordinate Pilot Plant projects and report on their progress and results.
- Manage and coach the Pilot Plant team, supporting both their professional performance and personal development.
- Strive for technical excellence by providing support to Operations where required and actively contributing to Pilot Plant trials.
- Contribute to technical and economic feasibility assessments for new technologies and processes.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HSE and R&D in the execution of Pilot Plant projects.
- Collaborate with other sites, suppliers, external laboratories and partners.
- Report to the Global Pilot Plant Manager Requirements
- Master degree in (bio)chemical, bio
- or food engineering
- Several years of experience in process engineering in the process industry, preferable with scale-up activities & process optimization
- Experience in leading projects and/or managing a technical team.
- You enjoy combining leadership responsibilities with strong technical expertise.
- You enjoy working closely with Operations and stakeholders at different organisational levels.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage. Offer
