As Senior QA / QC Engineer, you are the technical quality gatekeeper for all engineering and CAD deliverables on complex EPC projects (Data Centers, Industrial plants, Chemical, Energy, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas). You ensure that every document issued by engineering is: Technically robust Ready for fabrication and construction Fully compliant with applicable Codes & Standards, project specifications and the company Quality Management System (QMS) Your main focus will be on mechanical disciplines: steel structures, piping and welding, while keeping an eye on the overall consistency of multidisciplinary documentation (including basic review of electrical drawings such as single-line diagrams and cable routing). Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Review & Validation

Perform detailed QA/QC review of engineering deliverables before client issue: General arrangement drawings (GA) Fabrication drawings (steel structures, piping, supports) Isometrics and welding plans Technical specifications and calculation notes Check consistency between drawings, 3D models and calculation reports. Identify deviations, ambiguities and design issues; propose corrective actions. 2. Compliance & Standards

Verify alignment with:

Project and client specifications International Codes & Standards (mechanical, structural, piping, pressure equipment) Internal procedures and QMS requirements

Ensure traceability and proper application of QA methodologies throughout the engineering phase. 3. Mechanical & Welding Quality Assurance

Control quality aspects related to:

Steel structures and modular construction Cooling water piping and associated supports Bolted and welded assemblies Pressure equipment and related accessories

Review and validate welding engineering:

Joint preparations, weld types and sizes Compliance with EN 1090, ISO 3834, ASME Section IX, AWS Approval of WPS, PQR, WPQ Definition and follow-up of NDT requirements (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT).

4. Quality Documentation & Inspections

Prepare, update and manage:

Quality Control Plans (QCP) Engineering quality plans and review checklists

Coordinate and monitor inspections and certifications:

Hold Points and Witness Points Review of Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) Material certificates (EN 10204) NDT reports and FAT documentation.

5. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

Participate in design reviews and constructability assessments. Contribute to Lessons Learned and feedback to engineering teams. Lead or support root cause analyses (RCA) and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) in case of non-conformities. Profile

Minimum 7 years in Engineering Quality Assurance / Quality Control on EPC projects. Proven involvement in at least 3 EPC projects, including on-site / construction experience. Strong background in:

Steel structures and modular construction Piping systems and supports Welding engineering and fabrication environments.

Technical Skills

Solid understanding of:

Steel fabrication and erection Cooling water piping systems Pressure equipment and associated regulations

Excellent drawing and model reading skills:

Fabrication, workshop, welding, structural, piping, isometrics, 3D models

Good knowledge of:

ITPs, QCPs, ISO 9001 QA methodologies, RCA and CAPA

Tools:

SolidWorks Autodesk Plant 3D Navisworks Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) MS Office

Soft Skills

Exceptional rigor and attention to detail. Strong analytical and critical thinking. High level of integrity and independence. Clear and structured written communication in French and English.
