DevOps Engineer

h3Function /h3 pWe're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our client's team and help build, manage, and continuously improve secure and reliable cloud infrastructure. In this role, you'll work across Azure platforms, infrastructure automation, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines to support development and operations teams in delivering consistent, high-quality solutions. You'll also act as a technical point of reference, sharing your expertise and helping strengthen DevOps practices in a complex, security-conscious environment. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage, maintain, and automate Microsoft Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. /li liSupport containerised environments based on Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Helm, and GitOps practices. /li liAdminister cloud networking, security components, access management, certificates, and connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments. /li liAnalyse existing infrastructure and resolve configuration drift between infrastructure code and operational environments. /li liDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and deployment processes to improve reliability and repeatability. /li liImplement and monitor logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform stability and operational visibility. /li liApply security and compliance requirements throughout infrastructure, platform, and development processes. /li liSupport development teams with cloud infrastructure, deployment, and operational challenges. /li liMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards. /li liInvestigate incidents, support root-cause analysis, resolve technical issues, and contribute to the continuity of critical platforms. /li liIdentify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement while contributing to the ongoing maturity of DevOps practices. /li liCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment, sharing knowledge and supporting the onboarding and development of colleagues. /li /ul h3Your Profile /h3 pWe're looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional with a strong sense of ownership, a structured approach to problem-solving, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. /p pYour experience and technical skills include: /p ul liStrong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure management. /li liKnowledge of Azure services such as AKS, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Storage, Service Bus, API Management, and Microsoft Entra ID. /li liExperience with Azure networking components, including Azure Firewall, Virtual WAN, Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Private Endpoints, and DNS. /li liExtensive experience with Terraform, including state management, modularisation, version control, and Infrastructure as Code across development, test, acceptance, and production environments. /li liHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts, as well as a solid understanding of YAML, JSON, and configuration management. /li liExperience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipeline implementation. /li liProficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. /li liKnowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana. /li liUnderstanding of security principles and technologies, including role-based access control (RBAC), Managed Identities, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Azure Key Vault, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), security scanning, and dependency management. /li liStrong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li liA collaborative mindset, flexibility in changing circumstances, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and during operational incidents. /li liA bachelor's degree is required. /li /ul pThe following are considered assets: Azure certifications such as AZ-400 or AZ-104, CKA or CKAD certifications, production experience with AKS, knowledge of GitOps tools such as Flux, experience with hybrid networking and regulated environments, familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Jira, and experience coaching or mentoring colleagues. /p h3Practical Information /h3 ul liLanguages: Native-level Dutch or French, professional working knowledge of the other national language, and strong professional English skills, both spoken and written. /li /ul pIf you enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges, building reliable automation, and helping teams deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions, this could be the next step in your DevOps career.
