This group performs engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services. These efforts help operate the nuclear power plants in the nuclear safety and performance field. This is a full-time job. /p pYou will report to the SSA Manager and be located at Nivelles. This is a hybrid position. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform a variety of engineering tasks to support nuclear power plants' operation. These tasks include preparation of inputs to run thermo-hydraulic codes for transient analyses. They also include preparation of fluid systems calculations for systems sizing or performances. Additionally, they include calculation of setpoints for nuclear power plants' operation, evaluation of emergency operation procedures changes, and control systems studies, among others. /li liDevelop proficiency in thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses and for systems evaluations. /li liAssessment capability of dose calculations and radiological consequences of accidents. /li liRun codes for safety analyses purposes. /li liDocument analysis. /li liPropose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects. /li liHelp prepare licensing documentation. /li liParticipate to integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties. /li liOccasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops (to gather or present technical information). /li liKnowledge of the Spanish nuclear regulatory body and regulations is an asset. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering, Physics; Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineer or Nuclear Engineering an asset. /li liMore than 7 years of experience in safety analysis for nuclear power plants and systems design. /li liApply fundamental engineering principles (including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics). /li liTechnical interest, predisposition and understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required. /li liFluent in English with reporting skills. /li liWe value experience with codes (CFD, TRAC/RELAP, GOTHIC) and programming skills. /li /ul h3Why Westinghouse? /h3 pWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
