About Our Client
Our client is a leading international organisation based in Brussels, with a Group Finance function operating in a complex and highly regulated environment.
As part of a strategic transition within the Group Accounting & Tax department, they are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Tax Specialist to strengthen the team and support both day-to-day tax activities and strategic projects.
Job Description
As a Freelance Senior Tax Specialist your responsibilities are:
- Manage corporate tax and VAT compliance for the Belgian entity ;
- Oversee transfer pricing documentation, reporting and group policies ;
- Coordinate tax audits and work with external tax advisors ;
- Support tax-related regulatory developments, including Pillar 2, CBAM and BEFIT ;
- Contribute to tax digitalisation and automation initiatives ;
- Support finance transformation projects, including SAP S/4HANA ;
- Provide tax advice and guidance on business and transformation initiatives ;
- Support group and management reporting on tax matters ;
The Successful Applicant
A successful Freelance Senior Tax Specialist should have:
- Master's degree in Tax Law, Business Accounting, Economics or equivalent ;
- Strong knowledge of Belgian corporate tax and VAT, with BEGAAP expertise ;
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, tax advisory or tax compliance ;
- Strong experience with corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing ;
- Proven ability to manage complex tax matters and translate them into pragmatic business solutions ;
- Experience with tax transformation, digitalisation or finance transformation projects ;
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA ;
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with professional proficiency in English ;
