Beschrijving van de functie For a leading company in automotive logistics located in Ghent, we are looking for a Shift Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse operations, guiding a team to guarantee productivity, efficiency, and safety.
- leading the warehouse team by giving daily briefings, monitoring performances, and providing feedback
- planning, scheduling, and managing daily warehouse activities to meet production deadlines
- optimizing the warehouse layout and workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
- monitoring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of incoming and outgoing goods
- maintaining safety standards and company policies by performing regular audits and implementing corrective actions
- monitoring the condition of warehouse equipment (such as forklifts and conveyors) and collaborating with the maintenance team
- preparing and submitting reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
- documenting operational procedures and ensuring team members understand and comply with them

Jouw profiel
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (of Bachelor or Master level)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically about processes
- Experience in managing large teams (approx. 50 employees)
- Fluency in English
- You have relevant experience as a Shift Leader within a logistics environment
- You possess strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and coach a team
- You have an in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- You preferably have experience in the automotive sector, which is considered a strong asset
- You are decisive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a keen eye for detail
- You have strong organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- You hold a forklift certificate or are willing to obtain one through training Leading Taalvaardigheden
