If you know what actually happens between a clearance request and a clearance certificate, this is a rare role. You will support a newly established central personnel security section at a NATO agency in Brussels, working the full lifecycle of personnel security clearances with all 32 member nations. What you will be doing Supporting initiation, renewal, transfer and revocation of personnel security clearances Interacting regularly with the National Security Authorities of all 32 member nations Supporting the handover of personnel security for the agency's remote locations into the new central section Keeping the records and correspondence that make each case auditable Briefing the work in English to a varied audience What you will need Demonstrated experience in personnel security under NATO security policy Direct experience interacting with member nations' National Security Authorities Practical knowledge of initiation, transfer, renewal and revocation of clearances Strong written English and the confidence to brief it Worth knowing before you apply Fully on-site in Brussels The section is newly established, so you are helping to set how it runs rather than joining a finished process Practical detail Contract engagement, about 516 hours from late September to the end of December 2026 Your CV may not be up to date.
