Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a pragmatic security strategy and roadmap.
- Advise the executive team and Board on cyber risk, priorities and investment.
- Strengthen security governance, policies, risk management and compliance.
- Partner with Engineering and Product on application, cloud, infrastructure and data security.
- Improve vulnerability management, threat modelling and security practices across the SDLC.
- Own and test the incident response and cyber resilience framework.
- Support customer security reviews, due diligence and strategic customer engagements.
- Help ensure the company's security posture meets the expectations of customers operating in OT environments.
- Assess the current security organisation and help build the right team, processes and external partnerships.
- Personally drive key initiatives where needed — this is not a role for someone who only delegates. What We're Looking For
- Senior security leadership experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Head of Security or equivalent.
- Strong SaaS, cloud and application security experience.
- Experience building or maturing security programmes in a growing organisation.
- Strong understanding of security risk, governance, compliance and incident response.
- Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to translate technical risk into business terms.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers and getting into technical detail when required.
- Experience with OT, industrial, manufacturing, energy or critical infrastructure environments is a strong plus.
- Pragmatic, hands-on and comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is fully built out.
