One of our clients is looking for a Senior Life Actuary based in Brussels. We are partnering with a leading insurance company to recruit a talented Life Actuary to join its actuarial team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key initiatives across pricing, reserving, profitability analysis, capital management, and regulatory reporting within the Life Insurance business.
The successful candidate will work closely with actuarial, finance, risk, and business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance.
RolePerform actuarial analyses related to Life Insurance products and portfolios.
Contribute to pricing, product development, and profitability studies.
Support reserving exercises and valuation processes.
Participate in Solvency II calculations, reporting, and capital management activities.
Develop and maintain actuarial models and assumptions.
Analyse experience studies and monitor portfolio performance.
Collaborate with Risk Management, Finance, and Product teams.
Support regulatory reporting and internal governance requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
ProfileMaster's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Progress toward or completion of a recognised actuarial qualification (IA|BE, IFoA, SOA, CAS, or equivalent).2+ years of experience within Life Insurance or actuarial consulting.
Strong understanding of Life Insurance products and actuarial principles.
Knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS 17, or local regulatory frameworks is an asset.
Experience with actuarial modelling tools and data analysis software.
Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Python, R, SAS, Prophet, RAFM, or similar tools is advantageous.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus.
