ppEnsuring aviation safety by managing and following up safety-related activities within the various Directorates-General and by performing safety investigations. /ph3What does a skeyes Operational Safety Unit Officer do? /h3pYou analyse occurrences and you identify the key factors that enable to reduce the severity of an occurrence and you propose recommendations for improving the ATM system (human, equipment and procedures). /pulliYou provide feedback to the actors in the field regarding the status and results of the investigations. /liliYou contribute to elaborating the periodical safety reports and trend analyses. /liliYou interact with the Corporate SMU in order to constantly improve the reporting and investigating process. /liliYou participate in in-company and external workshops. /liliYou promote the importance of safety and just culture within the company, especially in the operational services. /li /ulh3What makes you the perfect Operational Safety Unit Officer? /h3ulliYou are interested in safety culture. /liliYou have a solid knowledge of and experience with the various ATS domains with professional competencies in the operational field and the ATC processes (Air Traffic Control). /liliYou have experience in or you have been involved in research/investigations (analysis, reporting, recommendations, follow-up), preferably in the aviation sector. /liliYou have an analytical mind. /liliYou are open to consensus. /liliYou respect confidentiality. /liliYou are honest. /liliYou have excellent communication skills. /liliYou have a solid knowledge of English, but you can easily express yourself in French and Dutch as well. /li /ulpSecurity screening is required prior to employment and will be carried out by the National Security Authority. /ph3Why work at skeyes? /h3pOur mission is to ensure the safety and efficiency of air traffic, and also to reduce its ecological footprint in order to make it part of a sustainable future.
