Build scalable data platforms and help shape the future of data & AIMy clients are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team in Kontich, Belgium. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, and Apache Airflow. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that drive decision-making and innovation.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows.
- Build and optimize data models using dbt.
- Manage workflow orchestration and scheduling with Apache Airflow.
- Develop and maintain solutions within the Snowflake data platform.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance across the data landscape.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Support the exploration and adoption of AI-driven data solutions and modern analytics capabilities.
Must-have:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Solid knowledge of dbt and modern data modeling practices.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
- Strong SQL skills and experience building scalable data pipelines.
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Dutch or FrenchNice-to-have:
- Interest in or exposure to AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI technologies.
- Experience with Python.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience in data architecture or leading technical projects.
