Cloud Solution Architect

pWithin the EMEA Development Centre (EDC), the Electrics and Controls department is responsible for the development of connected solutions across Daikin’s product portfolio, including embedded systems, mobile applications, and cloud platforms. /p pOur cloud ecosystem (including Onecta and related services) plays a central role in enabling smart, connected HVAC solutions, integrating devices, installers, partners, and digital services into a scalable and future-proof platform. /p h3Your Role /h3 pAs a Cloud Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and evolving the architecture of our IoT cloud platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory needs. /p pYou act as a central technical authority, bridging product teams, development teams, and external partners, and ensuring end-to-end architectural consistency across our ecosystem. /p pYou will play a key role in continuously improving the Onecta platform architecture, adapting it to new use cases such as integrations, APIs, data-driven services, and regulatory requirements. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Architecture technical leadership /h3 ul liDefine, document, and maintain the end-to-end architecture of our IoT cloud platform (device → cloud → apps → integrations) /li liTranslate business needs into scalable, robust, and future-proof technical architectures /li liEnsure alignment across cloud services, APIs, mobile apps, and device communication layers /li liDrive architectural decisions balancing performance, cost, scalability, and reliability /li liSupport the evolution of the platform towards: /li liAPI-first and integration-friendly architectures /li liData-driven services and analytics use cases /li liMulti-application and multi-stakeholder ecosystems (end-users, installers, partners) /li liIdentify gaps, technical debt, and improvement opportunities in the current architecture /li liValidate architectural choices through proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations /li /ul h3Security, compliance reliability /h3 ul liEnsure security-by-design principles are embedded in the architecture /li liTake into account regulatory requirements (e.g. CRA, NIS2) and operational constraints /li liDesign with observability, maintainability, and operational supportability in mind /li liCollaborate with security and operations roles to ensure production readiness /li liWork closely with development teams, product owners, and other architects to ensure implementation aligns with architecture /li liAct as a technical counterpart towards external partners and suppliers /li liSupport and guide teams in making consistent architectural decisions /li liFacilitate architecture reviews and cross-team alignment /li /ul h3Operational awareness /h3 ul liStay connected to real-world platform behavior (incidents, performance issues, operational feedback) /li liEnsure architecture decisions consider run-time implications and support processes /li liContribute to improving platform stability and operational efficiency /li /ul h3Your Profile /h3 h3Experience background /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent /li liExperience in cloud architecture or software architecture (IoT experience is a strong asset) /li liSolid understanding of distributed systems and microservice-based architectures /li liExperience with at least one major cloud platform (preferably AWS) /li /ul h3Technical knowledge /h3 pYou bring experience with modern cloud-native and IoT architectures, including: /p ul liStrong understanding of: /li liAPI design and integration patterns (REST, OAuth2, API gateways) /li liEvent-driven architectures and asynchronous communication /li liDesigning scalable and highly available distributed systems /li liExperience with technologies and patterns such as: /li liIoT communication: MQTT-based communication, IoT platforms (e.g. AWS IoT Core or equivalent) /li liCompute backend: serverless architectures and/or containerized services /li liData storage: NoSQL databases and event streaming systems /li liAPI integration: API gateways (e.g. Kong or similar) and microservice communication patterns /li liDevOps automation: modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform or similar) /li liFamiliarity with: /li liObservability (logging, monitoring, tracing) /li liCloud security concepts (IAM, secure APIs, network isolation) /li /ul h3Our offer /h3 pThis challenging position offers you growth opportunities at the European headquarters of global leading company.
