h3Senior Database Administrator /h3 pbClient: /b European Union security agency /p pbLocation: /b The Hague, Netherlands (on-site 1 day per week; can be based in Belgium) /p pbLanguage: /b English (B2 or higher) /p h3Mandatory Requirements /h3 h3Professional experience /h3 ul li8+ years in complex enterprise environments, handling systems administration of large-scale ICT systems. /li li6+ years of database administration of mission-critical production databases with sensitive data, in high-security environments. /li li5+ years of database administration with MariaDB (or MySQL). /li li5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL. /li li2+ years of database administration with Kubernetes. /li liAll of the above experience must be in on-premise, air-gapped environments. /li /ul h3Professional knowledge /h3 ul liContainerised environments with databases and stateful datasets (persistent storage volumes). /li liHigh availability and disaster recovery in containerised environments. /li liPerformance monitoring, analysis and optimisation of databases in containerised environments. /li liData modelling methodologies: conceptual and physical modelling, normalisation, and entity-attribute-relationship design. /li liComplex enterprise architectures and advanced ICT solution design, including microservices. /li liITIL processes for the systematic management of complex IT environments. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 h3Experience /h3 ul li2+ years with public or hybrid cloud services (Azure or AWS). /li li3+ years with high availability and disaster recovery clustering: HAProxy, Patroni, Galera, MaxScale. /li liDatabase administration with Neo4j, Milvus, MongoDB or Cassandra. /li liVMware virtualisation. /li liMicrosoft SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Windows Server Failover Clusters (WSFC). /li liBusiness intelligence solutions: ETL, OLAP, Power BI. /li liDatabase administration of all the DBMSs above in on-premise environments. /li liScripting and automation for DevOps pipelines, automated deployment, and database schema versioning: Puppet, Azure DevOps/TFS, Flyway, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform. /li /ul h3Knowledge /h3 ul liAgile methodologies that bridge ICT development and operations. /li liData centre, infrastructure, security, storage, networking and service management technologies. /li liData analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. /li /ul h3What can you expect from us? /h3 pMind-blowing workplace culture.
