Role Purpose
As an Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant, you are responsible for the end-to-end operational and analytical management of the supplier ledger. Rather than just processing invoices, you act as a critical pivot in the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle. You serve as the core operational bridge between external vendors and internal business stakeholders, ensuring a seamless flow and timely approval of invoices. Utilizing your strong system and technical capabilities, you will actively drive workflow optimization and automation.
P2P Oversight & Exception Handling
Operational and overhead vendors
- Own the end-to-end supplier ledger and ensure full control over all vendor accounts and results.
- Monitor the automated flow (external team handles invoice ingestion, semi-automated 3-way matching, and SOA updates; operations logs accruals).
- Intervene strictly on technical, organizational, or system exceptions to unblock stuck workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process stalls across all touchpoints: vendors, operations, service providers, and systems.
- Drive proactive, non-exhaustive root-cause analysis to implement structural solutions and optimize the flow.
- Act as the primary point of contact for domestic and international vendors regarding payment queries, open balances, or disputed invoices.
- Hold your ground confidently during tough conversations with suppliers regarding disputes (and other invoice status leading to delayed payments), maintaining a professional yet firm stance.
