h3Location: Remote, Europe (EU and non-EU) /h3 h3Working hours: Full-time, 9:00-17:00 US Eastern Time /h3 h3Start: ASAP /h3 h3Engagement: Full-time freelance contract /h3 h3About the role /h3 pOur client, a US-based organisation, is looking for a strong senior Azure engineer to build and run their Microsoft cloud environment from the ground up. You'll own the full stack: the Azure platform built as code, Microsoft 365 and identity, and hybrid connectivity back to on-premises. This is a hands-on role for someone who has done it before and can work independently from day one. /p h3What you'll do /h3 ul liBuild a new Azure environment from scratch: management groups, subscriptions, Azure Policy, RBAC/PIM, Log Analytics and Microsoft Defender, all deployed with Bicep or Terraform through GitHub pipelines. /li liSet up Microsoft 365 and identity: Entra ID with cloud sync from on-premises AD, Intune, Conditional Access and Windows Hello, and migrate SharePoint and OneDrive. /li liDesign and troubleshoot hybrid networking: Azure VPN Gateway with BGP over multiple circuits, a hub-and-spoke topology with a FortiGate firewall, and fixing latency, jitter and asymmetric routing issues. /li liDeliver application and data workloads: Azure Functions with VNet integration, Key Vault, Azure Virtual Desktop, and moving a database and its clients across a WAN, including replication, performance testing, cutover and rollback. /li liAdminister Windows server instances. /li /ul h3What we're looking for /h3 ul li6-7+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure and Azure engineering. /li liProven experience building Azure environments end to end with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform) and GitHub Actions. /li liStrong hands-on Entra ID, Intune and Conditional Access experience in hybrid environments. /li liSolid networking

VPNs, BGP, hub-and-spoke and firewall integration (FortiGate preferred). /li liAble to work US Eastern hours full-time and available to start immediately. /li liNo planned leave during the first two months of the engagement. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liCertifications such as AZ-104, AZ-700, AZ-305, SC-300, MD-102, Terraform Associate or Fortinet NSE4. /li liPrevious experience working with US clients on US hours. /li liA background in a Microsoft partner or MSP environment. /li /ul
