Legal Counsel and AI Specialist

ppWe are seeking an innovative, commercially minded Legal Counsel and AI Specialist to join our growing Legal Team. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy legal professional who possesses a solid foundation in general commercial law and a strong passion for legal technology. /ppIn this dual-impact role, you will handle cross-border commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and business advisory work, while actively leading our Legal AI Transformation initiatives — testing, deploying, and embedding AI workflows to elevate our group’s legal efficiency and governance. /ph3What you’ll do: /h3h3Commercial Law Cross-Border Advisory /h3ulliContract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide spectrum of commercial agreements (SaaS, software licensing, vendor, procurement, partnership, and cross-border commercial transactions). /liliBusiness Advisory: Provide pragmatic legal advice to business units on general commercial issues, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation across our international operations. /liliLegal Policy Guidelines: Develop and maintain standard TCs, legal templates, and corporate guidelines to protect the group’s commercial and legal interests. /liliLitigation Dispute Support: Support senior legal team members in handling commercial disputes, regulatory inquiries, and administrative legal tasks. /li /ulh3Legal AI Transformation Compliance /h3ulliAI Workflow Optimization: Identify high-impact legal scenarios for AI integration; drive end-to-end automation of legal processes, including pre-screening contracts, extracting key risk terms, and automated intake triage. /liliKnowledge Management AI Agents: Build and curate legal knowledge bases, precedent libraries, and legal QA AI Agents to empower business stakeholders with self-service legal guidance. /liliSystem Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and IT teams to specify requirements and drive continuous iterations of internal legal tech systems. /liliRegulatory AI Risk: Monitor legal and regulatory developments in TMT and emerging AI regulations; advise on compliance risks associated with company-wide AI deployment. /li /ulh3What you’ll need: /h3h3Education Qualification: /h3ulliBachelor of Laws (LL.

S. Bar Qualification (e.g., NY State Bar) is preferred. Admissions in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdictions are also welcome /li /ulh3Experience: 2–6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) /h3ulliGained from a reputable law firm, multinational corporation (MNC), or fast-paced technology/TMT company. /li /ulh3Legal Expertise: /h3ulliSolid fundamentals in general commercial law, contract drafting/negotiation, and exposure to international regulatory practices. /li /ulh3Tech AI Affinity: /h3ulliDemonstrated enthusiasm for AI and emerging legal technologies. /liliHands-on experience with generative AI tools, legal AI tech, or contract analytics software. /liliBasic IT/tech acumen or workflow-building capability is a strong plus. /li /ulh3Languages: /h3ulliExcellent command of written and spoken English (primary working language). /liliProficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) is strongly preferred. /li /ulh3Personal Attributes: /h3ulliStrong commercial awareness, high responsiveness, excellent presentation/interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines. /li /ulpTo all candidates
