We are looking for an experienced Risk & Controls Consultant to support a focused assignment across internal controls, issue and risk-event management, attestations and audit support.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly understand the existing environment, take ownership and operate independently from day one.
What you'll be doing
- Strengthen and maintain the risk and control framework, including control ownership, responsibilities and attestations
- Improve the quality and management of issues, risk events and remediation actions
- Support root-cause analysis and help translate findings into practical action plans
- Coordinate with business owners and Risk Management to drive outstanding actions to completion
- Produce clear risk, control and attestation reporting
- Support access administration and ongoing audit activities
- Ensure information in IRM remains complete, accurate and up to date
What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on experience in risk, internal controls, operational risk or control assurance
- Experience with issue management, remediation tracking and risk events
- Experience supporting audits and control attestations
- Ability to translate risk or assurance feedback into clear business actions
- Strong stakeholder management and attention to detail
- A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge incomplete information or unclear ownership
- Ability to work independently and drive activities through to completion
Experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC, root-cause analysis methodologies and financial services is an advantage.
This is a focused assignment with clear deliverables and the opportunity to make an immediate, visible impact across Risk, Finance, Procurement and the wider business.
