Senior Functional ERP Consultant, Trade

As a Senior Functional ERP Consultant for Trade, you’ll work closely with our clients’ businesses and help them organize their commercial and logistics processes more efficiently using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Drawing on your experience with ERP implementations, you’ll translate processes related to sales, purchasing, inventory, and distribution into solutions that are technically sound and make sense in day-to-day practice. From analysis and configuration to testing, training, and post-implementation support, you’ll guide clients through the entire implementation process.

Your role as a senior functional ERP consultant for trade

You analyze complex commercial and logistical business processes, ranging from sales and purchasing to inventory management and distribution

You translate business requirements into clear, scalable solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

You configure and optimize sales, purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes tailored to the client’s operations

You will oversee data migrations from existing ERP systems and help customers make a smooth transition to Business Central

You will develop test scenarios, oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and monitor the functional quality of the solution

Through key user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer, you ensure that customers can get started with their ERP solution on their own

You will remain involved even after the go-live and, drawing on your experience, identify opportunities for process optimization and further improvement

You'll apply your functional expertise during the pre-sales process and help develop suitable ERP and Business Central solutions for new clients

What are you bringing?

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a Functional ERP Consultant, Business Central Consultant, ERP Consultant, or in a similar functional ERP role

You have experience with ERP implementations in trade, wholesale, retail, distribution, or another commercial and logistics environment

Internally, this search specifically focuses on seniority, knowledge of trade processes, and Business Central experience

You have hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV and are familiar with ERP processes related to sales, purchasing, inventory, and logistics

You are well‑versed in business analysis, requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, and UAT, and can translate business needs into a workable ERP solution

You combine an analytical mindset with a hands‑on approach: you gain a deep understanding of processes, ask critical questions, and take into account how people use the solution on a daily basis

You communicate effectively with key users, stakeholders, and technical colleagues, and can explain complex ERP issues clearly and in an easy‑to‑understand way

You take ownership of your functional domain, contribute proactively, and guide clients so they feel confident in their choices

You share your expertise with colleagues and clients while remaining curious about new possibilities within Business Central and ERP
