Senior AI Engineer

pOur client, a major public transport operator based in Brussels, is developing advanced AI services for employees and customers across the organization. /ppWe are looking for a bSenior AI Engineer /b to join the Digital Innovation / AI Center of Excellence during the build and hypercare phases of complex AI projects. /ppYou will collaborate with an internal AI Platform Architect, another Senior AI Engineer, and multidisciplinary project teams to transform AI solutions into reliable, evaluated, secure, and maintainable production services. /ppThe AI Platform combines managed Azure AI services with open-source components deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), using Python, LangChain, MLflow, Databricks, Terraform, and Azure DevOps /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign and implement end-to-end bRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) /b pipelines, including retrieval strategies and answer generation. /liliDevelop data ingestion pipelines with source connectors, document chunking, embeddings, and incremental refresh. /liliImplement security trimming and Access Control List (ACL) propagation. /liliBuild agent orchestration workflows, prompt templates, and AI guardrails using Python and LangChain. /liliImplement evaluation frameworks, offline evaluation datasets, retrieval and answer-quality metrics. /liliConfigure end-to-end tracing for requests and AI agent execution. /liliDevelop and maintain Terraform, Helm, and Azure DevOps deployment artefacts. /liliMonitor latency, token consumption, operational costs, and AI quality regressions. /liliSupport hypercare and early production operations, including incident analysis and performance tuning. /liliProduce runbooks and technical documentation, ensuring effective handover to the engineer responsible for ongoing operations. /li /ulh3Technical skills /h3h3Must have /h3ulliAdvanced hands-on experience with bPython /b. /liliAdvanced experience with bAzure OpenAI Service /b and Large Language Models (LLMs). /liliAdvanced expertise in bRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) /b architectures. /liliAdvanced experience with bAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS) /b. /liliAdvanced knowledge of bTerraform /b and Infrastructure-as-Code. /liliAdvanced proficiency in bAzure DevOps /b. /liliIntermediate experience with vector databases or vector search technologies. /li liIntermediate experience with bLangChain /b. /liliRecent hands-on experience with Python, Azure OpenAI, LLMs, RAG, AKS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and vector databases. /liliNative or bilingual proficiency in bFrench or Dutch /b. /liliFull professional proficiency in bEnglish /b. /li /ulh3Should have /h3ulliPractical experience developing and operating production-ready AI services. /liliExperience implementing document ingestion, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and access-control mechanisms. /liliExperience with agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and AI guardrails. /liliKnowledge of AI evaluation, tracing, observability, and cost monitoring. /liliExperience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure API Management, and Azure AI Content Safety. /liliExperience with MLflow and Databricks for evaluation and tracing. /liliExperience deploying containerized applications with Helm on Kubernetes. /liliAbility to collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and project managers. /li /ulh3Who we are /h3pCommunity Consulting goes beyond traditional consulting; it’s all about fostering connections in an atmosphere of trust and confidence.br/bTransparency Honesty /b : We say things as they are.
