Here, we don’t just follow trends, we create them Join Smile in Brussels and take part in projects that truly matter /p pWe are currently looking for a talented bCybersecurity Expert (Freelance) /b to join our dynamic team and work on high-impact projects for one of our major clients. /p h3Position Overview /h3 ul lipStatus: Freelance /p /li lipLocation: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid model: 2-3 days of remote work per week) /p /li /ul h3Your Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Cybersecurity Expert, your daily missions will include: /p ul lipAssessing the security posture of infrastructures, applications, and cloud environments, and recommending remediation plans. /p /li lipDesigning and implementing security architectures and controls (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, Zero Trust). /p /li lipMonitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents in collaboration with SOC teams (SIEM, EDR/XDR). /p /li lipManaging vulnerabilities: scanning, prioritization, and follow-up of corrective actions. /p /li lipContributing to compliance with standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, DORA where applicable). /p /li lipIntegrating security into development and DevOps processes (DevSecOps, secure code reviews, pipeline security). /p /li lipWriting security policies and procedures, and raising awareness among teams. /p /li lip(For Senior profiles) Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, steering security roadmaps, and mentoring team members. /p /li /ul h3Profile Technical Skills /h3 ul lipProven experience in cybersecurity (security engineering, architecture, or operations). /p /li lipStrong knowledge of network and system security, IAM, and cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP). /p /li lipHands-on experience with security tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Nessus/Qualys). /p /li lipGood understanding of security frameworks and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, CIS). /p /li lipCertifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) are a strong asset. /p /li lipExcellent analytical skills, rigor, and a strong team spirit. /p /li lipLanguage: Professional fluency in English.
