A Solution Engineer is a highly experienced professional with a proven ability to rapidly analyze complex challenges, develop strategic solutions, and drive impactful outcomes. This role demands strong leadership, expert-level problem‑solving skills, and the capacity to guide both clients and teams toward success. The position will report to the Presales Manager, Europe within the Global Solution Engineering department and will work extensively with various internal and external clients. /p h3What You Will Bring /h3 ul liLeverage your deep product, functional, and industry expertise to shape customer strategy, influence key decisions, and guide prospects through complex evaluation cycles /li liPartner closely with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing as the senior subject matter expert for Prophix's Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platform—bringing thought leadership and credibility to every interaction /li liAdvise customers and prospects on best-in-class CPM practices, helping them define target architectures and transformation roadmaps aligned with their business goals /li liLead advanced discussions on Corporate Performance Management, addressing both functional and technical needs such as Financial Consolidations, ETL, Database Design, and Cloud Architecture, establishing technical trust and executive mindshare within opportunities /li liDesign and deliver high-impact, tailored presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts that articulate Prophix's value across Finance, IT, and Executive stakeholders /li liAct as the strategic subject matter expert for key business opportunities collaborating with Sales on execution strategy /li liServe as a trusted advisor to internal teams—bringing a senior customer-facing perspective to Product Management, RD, and Product Marketing, and influencing roadmap priorities with field insights /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liA mix of experience, training, or education that helps you succeed in this role /li liMinimum 5 years of consulting, implementation services, business / systems analyst, pre‑sales and / or financial systems experience ideally in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments /li liSuccessful completion of a Post‑Secondary Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance related fields /li liAcademic or practical knowledge of financial modelling and reporting (financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, consolidations, and group reporting) /li liExceptional ability to quickly learn new technology, its benefits, and how it can be leveraged to achieve business goals objectives /li liAble to clearly articulate concepts and business benefits to technical and non-technical audiences with confidence /li liWillingness to travel within the region or internationally (occasionally) /li liFluency in English is required (additional European languages are a plus) /li liComfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review /li liAbility to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves /li liCuriosity and openness to exploring new approaches /li liCollaborative mindset when working with teams and technology /li liMust be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liPrevious experience with CPM, EPM, BI, DWH solutions /li liDeep understanding of Relational (RDBMS / OLTP) and Multi‑Dimensional Databases (OLAP) /li liPractical experience with SQL, MDX, and Extract‑Transform‑Load (ETL) processes /li liBroad understanding of Enterprise and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architectures /li liIn‑depth knowledge of Excel is a plus /li liConfidence and ability to converse with different levels of an organization, including C‑Level /li liGather and understand business requirements, current challenges and propose solutions /li liNatural presenter with great interpersonal skills and comfortable in the spotlight /li liYou have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy researching and uncovering solutions to problems /li liExcellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; comfortable taking the lead in customer‑facing scenarios /li liCuriosity, drive, and a proactive mindset—you enjoy d
