pRelocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa for you and your family. /p pThis post is a full employment contract with our delivery partner, with the benefits that go with it — not a contractor or B2B arrangement. Agreeing to be employed is the first condition of the role. /p pA multinational defence organisation wants its capability development work digitised, and wants it proven by working software rather than by studies. This role builds proofs of concept, prototypes and operational pilots, and iterates them with the people who use them. /p h3What You Would Be Doing /h3 ul liRapid hands-on development of digital workflow prototypes and pilots on approved platforms. /li liWorking directly with process owners and operational users to understand how the work flows today. /li liDocumenting the current and desired workflow in enough detail to see roles, states, decision points and exchanges. /li liTurning operational needs into a minimum viable prototype that can be built, demonstrated and iterated quickly. /li liDesigning and configuring structured data capture, roles, states, business rules, validation, routing, approvals, notifications and status tracking. /li liIntegrating prototypes with approved data sources through interfaces, databases, web services or structured file exchange. /li liWriting lightweight scripts or components when configurable tooling alone will not prove the idea. /li liUsing approved AI-assisted development tooling where it genuinely speeds up prototyping. /li liRunning user testing and pilots, then improving on what you observe rather than what you assumed. /li liMeasuring the effect against a baseline: cycle time, manual effort, data completeness. /li liNaming the security, data management, licensing, hosting and sustainment constraints early. /li /ul h3What you would bring /h3 ul liA university degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, human-centred design, business process management or a related field, or equivalent experience. /li liRecent hands-on delivery of digital applications, workflows or prototypes that you built personally. /li liAt least twelve months inside the last twenty-four spent doing that development yourself. /li liAt least two of the last five years in low-code, no-code or configurable application development outside the Microsoft stack, with at least two solutions you built yourself and at least one with real users.li /liliHands-on development across at least two distinct rapid-development platforms. /li liFluent professional English. /li liNote: experience limited to directing, supervising, advising, architecting or owning the product does not meet this requirement — the client asks for hands-on build. /li /ul pThis is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project. /p
