Power BI is central to how the organisation works, and the reporting and data behind it are business critical, so the role calls for someone who can take ownership from the first day. /ppThe business brings a steady flow of reporting questions, and you will be the person who turns them into clear, reliable dashboards. That means speaking directly with colleagues to understand what they need, running a proper needs analysis, and translating the outcome into the right data and visuals. You will check that the numbers are logical and consistent before they reach the business, and you will keep reports accurate and in order as requirements change. /ppYou will work in parallel with a data warehouse consultant who focuses on the data in the underlying systems, so you will translate business needs into technical requirements and keep the two sides aligned. The role is hybrid, with two days a week on-site, and suits someone who is as comfortable talking to the business as working through the data. /ph3Main responsibilities /h3ulliTake ownership of existing Power BI dashboards and reports and keep them running reliably /liliBuild new dashboards and reports in response to requests from the business /liliCarry out needs analysis with stakeholders and translate their questions into reporting requirements /liliTranslate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with the data warehouse consultant /liliCarry out data checks and validation to make sure figures are accurate and logical /liliSupport data controlling activities so that reporting data is consistent and in order /liliPresent data in a clear story that business users can act on /liliAnswer reporting questions from across the organisation and support colleagues in using the dashboards /li /ulh3Essential /h3ulliStrong experience with Power BI, including dashboard design and development /liliProven experience carrying out needs analysis with business stakeholders /liliAbility to communicate with non-technical colleagues and translate business needs into technical requirements /liliExperience with data checks and validation, with a careful and logical approach to data quality /liliUnderstanding of data warehouse concepts and the ability to work alongside a data warehouse specialist /liliDutch (native) and English (fluent) /li /ulh3The offer /h3ulliFreelance engagement until the end of the year, with the possibility of extending into January /liliStart date: ASAP /liliHybrid working, with 2 days per week on-site in Mechelen /liliA business-critical reporting role, working alongside a data warehouse consultant /li /ulpIf you have solid Power BI experience, enjoy working directly with the business and take pride in accurate data, this is a role where you can make an impact quickly. /p
