Our client, a prominent institution in the higher education sector, is seeking a Lead Developer to spearhead their technical evolution. This role involves guiding a development team through technical coaching while remaining hands-on in the coding, testing, and debugging of complex applications.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers through technical coaching and guidance.
- Execute advanced programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive functional and technical analyses.
- Manage the deployment of applications within a DevOps environment.
- Implement and champion Agile methodologies within the development lifecycle.
- Ensure high code quality through the use of automated testing frameworks and peer reviews.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development using Symfony .
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps environments and production deployments.
- 3+ years of automated testing using PHPUnit .
- 3+ years of experience in the development of web-based applications.
- 1+ years of experience with Salesforce .
- 1+ years of experience with containerization using Docker .
- Experience performing functional and technical analysis.
- Professional experience leading and coaching development teams.
- You are proactive and solution-oriented.
- You are native in Dutch .
Nice to Haves
- 3+ years of experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL .
- Practical knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working within a university or educational context.
- Start date: 01/01/2027
- Duration: 6 months
- Work regime: Full-time
- Location: Brussels
- Working model: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
