h3bMS Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer /b /h3pAs a member of the IKO ERP Development team, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) using AL. /ppThis role involves analysis, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of our global Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams, Business Analysts, end users, and IT project leadership to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet business requirements. /ph3bJob Responsibilities /b /h3ulliDesign, develop, configure, enhance, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central applications to meet business requirements. /liliDevelop and maintain extensions and customizations using AL, following Microsoft development standards and best practices. /liliCreate and extend tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, and other Business Central application objects. /liliImplement business rules, validations, workflow automation, and scalable ERP application enhancements. /liliPerform technical analysis and provide effort estimates for development tasks, projects, requirements, and proposed solutions. /liliDevelop, maintain, and support integrations using APIs, REST services, OData, Azure services, and other enterprise systems. /liliCoordinate and test interfaces with external applications, troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues. /liliDevelop, enhance, and support reporting solutions, including Business Central reports and Jet Reports. /liliIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to improve system performance, stability, and user experience. /liliSupport ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, cloud migrations, and ongoing application maintenance. /liliMonitor and respond to development requests and incidents logged through the Service Desk. /liliCoordinate with external vendors for issue investigation, reporting, and resolution. /liliManage extension deployments across development, sandbox, and production environments using appropriate Business Central deployment tools, Azure DevOps, and controlled release processes. /liliCollaborate with functional teams, Business Analysts, and other developers to deliver stable, scalable, and supportable solutions. /liliContribute to technical documentation, solution design, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. /liliAdditional duties as assigned. /li /ulh3bQualifications /b /h3ulliMinimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP development, including hands-on development using AL and/or C/AL. /liliStrong experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Relevant Microsoft Dynamics NAV development experience will also be considered, particularly when combined with recent Business Central exposure. /liliHands-on experience developing AL extensions using Visual Studio Code and the AL development environment. /liliExperience creating and extending tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, and other Business Central application objects. /liliUnderstanding of Business Central extension architecture, event subscribers, and upgrade-safe development practices. /liliExperience with REST APIs, OData, web services, and ERP integration patterns. /liliExperience with source control, application lifecycle management, testing, and controlled deployment processes, preferably using Azure DevOps. /liliExperience working in enterprise or global ERP environments. /liliExposure to ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations from Dynamics NAV to Business Central, or enterprise application support. /liliUnderstanding of ERP business processes, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales. /liliStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, deployment, and support. /liliAbility to develop extensions following Microsoft best practices, minimizing modifications to standard functionality and maintaining upgrade compatibility. /liliStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. /li /ulh3bNice-to-Have Qualifications /b /h3ulliExperience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. /liliExposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Operations or Dynamics AX, including X++ development. /liliExperience with Azure-based integrations and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). /liliExperience developing or supporting reporting solutions, including Power BI and Jet Reports. /liliExperience supporting global ERP deployments across multiple business units or geographic regions. /liliExperience working with multinational teams and stakeholders across Europe and North America. /li /ul
