pOur client, a prominent public sector organization, is seeking a Software Architect to optimize various Java-based applications and oversee future development projects. The role focuses on designing high-quality software architectures while professionalizing internal processes and collaborating with technical stakeholders. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign software architectures for Java applications and create high-level and low-level designs. /liliOversee architectural principles and security guidelines to ensure compliance with organizational standards. /liliCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to guide the implementation of technical solutions. /liliSupport the integration of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices. /liliProvide hands-on guidance to development teams by creating technical samples and translating theory into practice. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulli5+ years of experience as a specialist architect within application and infrastructure domains. /lili5+ years of professional experience in Java software architecture. /liliProven experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible. /liliExtensive knowledge of modeling techniques and tools such as Archimate, TOGAF, UML, or Sparx EA. /liliStrong technical proficiency in Spring Boot and container technology. /liliYou possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. /liliYou have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and guiding development teams. /liliYou bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliYou are a native speaker of Dutch. /li /ulh3Nice to Haves /h3ulliExperience with Azure services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security. /liliFamiliarity with public sector architectural guidelines and frameworks. /liliKnowledge of general business processes and project management facets like cost and coordination. /li /ulh3Offer /h3ulliStart date: 16/11/2026 /liliDuration: project length until 31/07/2027 /liliWork regime: Full-time /liliLocation: Brussels /liliWorking model: Hybrid (remote work possible in consultation with the manager) /li /ul
