Your role goes beyond traditional database administration, combining database engineering, platform infrastructure, automation, cloud operations, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. /p pThis is a highly visible role where you will influence architectural decisions, drive operational excellence, and help scale Sofico's cloud platform for the future. /p h3bWhat You'll Do /b /h3 ul liDesign, operate, and optimize Oracle database environments running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure. /li liManage and continuously improve Oracle technologies such as Data Guard, RAC, and GoldenGate. /li liAnalyze and resolve complex database and platform incidents, performing deep root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. /li liDrive database performance optimization through execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, workload tuning, and capacity planning. /li liCollaborate with the wider Platform Infrastructure team to manage OCI environments and Azure-OCI connectivity. /li liOwn database backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for Sofico Cloud. /li liPlan and execute database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management with minimal operational impact. /li liAutomate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and scripting frameworks. /li liCoordinate the deployment and onboarding of new customer database environments. /li liAct as a technical escalation point for database-related challenges across the organization. /li liContribute to governance, documentation, standards, and operational best practices. /li liMonitor and optimize Oracle licensing usage and infrastructure costs across the platform. /li /ul h3bWhatYou Bring /b /h3 ul liExtensive experience as a Senior Oracle DBA supporting large-scale production environments. /li liStrong hands-on expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). /li liExperience with Oracle Exadata, Exascale Infrastructure, Base Database Services, and Autonomous Databases. /li liDeep understanding of Oracle database internals and performance tuning techniques. /li liExpertise in AWR, ASH, SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, and capacity modelling. /li liProven experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning. /li liExperience configuring and supporting Oracle GoldenGate replication environments. /li liStrong understanding of database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. /li liExperience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell scripting, or similar tools. /li liKnowledge of OCI networking, security principles, and cloud governance. /li liUnderstanding of Oracle licensing models and their financial impact. /li liStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. /li liAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed team. /li liDocumentation-driven and committed to operational excellence. /li liExcellent communication skills in English. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience operating mission-critical SaaS platforms. /li liExposure to Microsoft Azure environments and hybrid cloud connectivity. /li liExperience with SQL Server administration. /li liFamiliarity with observability, monitoring, and SRE practices. /li liExperience supporting highly available and globally distributed systems. /li /ul h3bWhat's In It For You… /b /h3 ul libCompetitive Compensation
