As a bSupervisor VAT Consultant /bat Grant Thornton Belgium, you remain strongly involved in client work while supporting the team in a task-oriented way. /p h3What does a Supervisor VAT Consultant at Grant Thornton do? /h3 pAs a bkey technical point of contact /b, you support clients and help ensure the quality of the team’s output. /p pYou provide bhigh-quality VAT advice /bto national and international clients, mainly SMEs and mid-sized organisations. /p pYou work on bmore complex VAT projects /b, such as VAT implementations, optimisations, regularisations and VAT reviews. /p pYou are responsible for the br eview and follow-up of Belgian and international VAT compliance /b, including VAT returns and related filings. /p pYou support clients during bVAT audits and inspections /b, assisting in communication with the VAT authorities and follow-up actions. /p pYou breview the work of junior consultants /band provide clear, practical feedback on specific assignments. /p pYou bcoordinate daily tasks /bwithin engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met (without people management responsibility). /p pYou work autonomously on your files, while knowing when to bescalate matters to Managers or Partners. /b /p pYou collaborate closely with colleagues within the VAT team and with other service lines. /p h3What makes you the Supervisor VAT Consultant we’re looking for? /h3 pYou hold a bMaster’s degree /bin an economic, legal or tax-related field. /p pYou have bat least 4 years of relevant VAT experience /b, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment. /p pYou have a bstrong technical understanding of Belgian VAT /b, with exposure to international VAT being an asset. /p pYou are comfortable bguiding and supporting junior colleagues /bin a task-oriented manner. /p pYou work in a bstructured and accurate way /band take ownership of your assignments. /p pYou have strong banalytical and problem-solving skills . /b /p pYou communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, adapting your message to your audience. /p pYou are bfluent in Dutch and English /b(knowledge of French is a plus). /p pYou have a very good knowledge of bMS Office /b(Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
