Your tasks as our CSOC Engineer
As a member of our Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), the CSOC support engineer will have a key role within our Managed Detection and Response service. Your main responsibilities will encompass several of the following areas:

Monitor SIEM, EDR and Data Analytics Platforms Investigate and qualify alerts/incidents before advising the customer on appropriate actions Take part in incident response including malware analysis and sandboxing Detection engineering Respond to customer requests for assistance Develop and improve (SOAR) automation and playbooks Onboarding new customers and log sources

We expect that you are very familiar with networks, common operating systems, and security technologies. That you can identify attack techniques and understand current threat landscape and vulnerabilities. You work according to defined standards and best practices, thrive in a team environment and have an insatiable hunger for knowledge.

As a CSOC Engineer, you will be part of the customer trusted security team and progressively gain knowledge and experience in various IT domains through on the job and formal training.

Your profile as our CSOC Engineer
You have a master's or bachelor's degree with a specialization in computer science, computer engineering, or information security.

Have good knowledge of common operating systems, networks and security technologies You can identity attack techniques and understand how attackers operate Knowledge of log types seen in corporate environments (Windows event logs, proxy logs, DNS logs…) Experience with various security related technologies (SIEM – UEBA - SOAR - EDR) Knowledge and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Javascript Exabeam/SentinelOne/MS Defender/XSOAR knowledge and professional certification as CEH, GSEC are certainly a plus

In terms of personality, you are a strong team player and eager to learn quickly. You are customer-oriented and a good communicator. You are characterized by good problem analysis and solving skills. Flexibility and a very good knowledge of English/Dutch round your profile off.
