Fugro in Belgium offer specialized consultancy and engineering services in both land and marine environments. We are currently seeking a bright, highly skilled and motivated Junior Geotechnical Consultant. The successful candidate will join our marine geo-consulting division and will be involved in a variety of projects in the oil and gas and offshore renewable energy sectors.
Job Summary
The key roles and responsibilities associated with this position include:
Perform geotechnical analysis and data interpretation, provide geotechnical advice, prepare and oversee reports for multiple projects and clients under supervision of senior staff.Assist Senior Geotechnical Consultant(s) and/or Business Development Manager with the promotion of our engineering capabilities. This may include active participation in marketing and business development initiatives (e.g. development of marketing materials, writing papers, attending and/or speaking at selected conferences, visiting clients, etc).Assist other professionals with the preparation of proposals.Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures.Key Skills
Applicants will have demonstrable excellent technical, organizational and communication skills, with a desire to continually learn and develop. The key requirements are:
Have solid background in geotechnical engineering (MSc or PhD in geotechnical engineering) and strong analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal English skills. Knowledge of French or any other language would be an asset.Have a strong customer focus attitude and entrepreneurial mindset.Have open and respectful attitude towards others and ability to communicate across different audiences.Have good organizational and interpersonal skills.Strive to achieve creative and commercial success.Are looking forward to develop skills with the objective to become a recognised expert in your own field.Are willing to travel regularly abroad.Education
You have a MSc or PhD in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
Location
Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) with short term assignments abroad.
